About us
When it comes to Japanese vehicle imports, there really isn’t another option other than B-Pro. Before discovering B-Pro I’ve worked with other companies on imports in the past and didn’t have service anywhere close to what B-Pro provides. Communication is the main thing when it comes to purchasing an unseen vehicle from Japan, and they will make sure all your questions are answered correctly and quickly.
He helped me bring my Altezza RS200 over during a global pandemic without delay. Thanks again for all the help! Will be returning for my next import.
- Mitch B, Toyota Altezza RS200
My son brought home a JDM Subaru and I immediately knew I wanted to explore the RHD experience. B-Pro came highly recommended in the JDM community so I contacted him to begin looking. They clearly explained the process, which turned out to be very easy. He went to great lengths to search his contacts in Japan for just the right car.
The car arrived from Japan and was even better than advertised. I would recommend B-Pro and Brian without hesitation.
- Chris B, BMW Z3 3.0
Always wanted a little Kei truck after I drove one on a landscape job. After I made the deposit he sent me some pictures of trucks to choose from. Brian was quick to get all the papers drawn up for shipping, and after a few weeks it arrived, cleared customs, and went out for delivery. I love it and highly recommend if you want to import a vehicle from Japan, B-Pro is the way to go.
- Betty S, Honda Acty Truck
Just exceptional service is probably the most accurate and succinct way to put it. Brian brings tremendous expertise to help navigate through all the unknowns of procedures, vehicle conditions, and costs. In the end, I picked up the SUV of my dreams — one that is in great shape, with the mods I was looking for. I could not be happier.
- Gord M, Land Cruiser Prado

FAQ for importing a JDM vehicle to Hamilton
Cars must be at least 15+ years old to the month of manufacture to be legally imported and operated on public roads in Ontario.
JDM cars can be shipped to a local distribution node or directly to your door anywhere in Canada, provided they meet federal import laws. This includes Victoria, Nanaimo, Vancouver, Kamloops, Kelowna and Terrace, British Columbia; Calgary, Edmonton, Red Deer, Lethbridge and Grand Prairie, Alberta; Regina and Saskatoon, Saskatchewan; Winnipeg and Brandon, Manitoba; Toronto, Ottawa, Hamilton, Mississauga, London and Windsor, Ontario; MontrΓ©al and QuΓ©bec City, Quebec; Halifax, Nova Scotia; Fredericton, New Brunswick; St. John's, Newfoundland and Labrador; Whitehorse, Yukon; Yellowknife, Northwest Territories; Iqaluit, Nunavut.
We can also ship across the entire United States for vehicles over 25 years old.
With our extensive experience importing Japanese vehicles, and our hundreds of satisfied clients, we can confidently say that there is little risk to purchasing your next JDM from Japan. We have developed a network of trusted contacts in Japan, and coupled with the auction sheet and second checks, the vehicle you buy is the one that will be delivered to your door.
The standardized auction sheets are a thorough examination of the car's status, including an overall grade and notes on any blemishes, dents, or rust. Once a bid is placed, we can apply for a second check by a third party for extra pictures and detail.
Insurance options for Ontario residents include Mitch Insurance and Intact Insurance and Hagerty. Coverage depends on the vehicle, individual, and insurer, so we recommend contacting your broker before buying.
Parts availability depends on the vehicle. Some Japanese models have North American counterparts, with many body panels and other parts being available. Others from global manufacturers may have used the same engine and mechanical parts in many other vehicles, with parts ready over the counter.
There are established supply chains from tuning houses to online auctions like eBay and Yahoo Auctions Japan, and brokers who help search for small used parts or whole front-end cuts. We can often point you in the right direction.
We arm you with all the import papers you need to successfully plate the vehicle in Ontario.
Cars in Japan are often cheaper because of strict inspection laws, high taxes, and the cost of keeping older cars on the road. Most people in Japan prefer buying new cars, which means thereβs a huge supply of well-maintained used vehicles with low demand locally. This oversupply, combined with rapid depreciation, makes Japanese cars more affordable for export buyers.
Itβs not uncommon to see 15+ year old vehicles with 60,000 km.

Why import from Japan instead of
buying locally in Hamilton?
better condition
We select vehicles that have no rust issues
Culturally, people take pride in ownership and maintain their vehicles well
As a vehicle ages, it has to pass strict “shaken” inspections biannually
Lower km - in dense cities in Japan, people just do not drive as much
better prices
Vehicles are cheaper because people in Japan get tax incentives to buy new every few years
Used vehicles are less desired in Japan, as vehicles are status symbols, so they sell for a great price
Parking, insurance, and regular shaken inspections make the overhead for owning a vehicle higher, so people buy new and sell their quality used vehicle for cheap
